Denmark has a democracy based on a 170 year old constitution. Denmark celebrates its Constitution Day on June 5 the people of Denmark celebrate democracy including freedom of speech individual rights and freedom of assembly. Denmark falls into the top ranks internationally in the area of democracy quality. Under the Danish constitution any person of age of 18 above and domiciled can vote in elections.

The Kingdom of Denmark includes two overseas territories, both well to the west of Denmark: Greenland, the world’s largest island, and the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean. These territories are self-governing and form part of the Danish Realm. Hands island an island in Nares strait is the subject of territorial dispute between Greenland, Kingdom of Denmark and Canada. Denmark exercises effective control over all its territory. civil rights are respected in Denmark but a recent ban on the wearing of full face veils has been imposed. Immigration rules are made more tough recently which has drawn a lot of criticism from international human rights organisations. The national of Denmark are have enormous human rights and it is made sure by the Kingdom of Denmark in areas of Political and unlawful killings, disappearances, torture and other cruel inhuman or degrading treatment or punishmen. The conditions of detention centres are up to international standards. The constitution of Denmark prohibits arrest and detention and provides the right to the person to challenge the lawfulness of his detention.. Civilian authorities have control over national police danish Immigration service, and the armed forces. However the recent Danish legislation fell short of international human rights standard in cases of sexual violence including rape. The treatment of Danish authorities towards refugees and asylum seekers has become questionable by Amnesty International.

This is state of Denmark protects its peoples Liberty to vote. The multiparty coalition structure of democracy makes denmark parliment according to the wwill of people. Ministers are elected from different parties. The state protects the right of its citizen to vote and make a change in how the government is handled. However, the territory contril of Denmark reflects a total control over the area and border control which means people living far off from the center of the government are also under the government. The disputed area of Hans island can be ignored as it is located in a strait which physically isnt in the boundary of Denmark. Denmark had a popularity of safest places on globe but its recent decline in in providing security to its people has been seen by the legislation to ban veil to muslim women and furthermore Denmark failing to provide justice to rape victims on international standards. . the security of people within state by law is questionable. We can safely say Denmark provides freedom of speech to its citizens. Its fails to provide rights to asyulm seekers but they are not citizens. When we consider territorial control Denmark has a hold over its territory where its citizens are safe. Legislative security to certain population is questionable like women and LGBT community.
